Also keep in mind I'll only have the one setup if Tim and Cookie aren't here. Should be good to play after 3 as usual.

Tim, you're pretty good playing that really ass character, stay hungry. You would do better if you stoped autopiloting that 5A antiair. xD
cookie`, wakeup backdash or grab mixups are bad for you. You could get blown up really quickly, take my word for it. I would have said goodbye but you passed out on the floor.

Too bad I couldn't play most of the people from Denton, one can only hope for a second chance. We'll meet again if it is fated.

Inso! Man, you are the awesomest player I have met to date. Extremely cool, extremly helpful, and altogether a beast at Melty. It was cool chatting with you about everything, and thanks for all the tips. Brazilian Melty is a force to be reckoned with, and everyone should know.

I don't remember what side game we played on Friday...yesterday we played Sailor Moon R (there's a link to the stream at http://www.justin.tv/linkdude777).

Also, I remembered what game we were playing outside...it was Dark Awake. Kind of an old 2D fighter that came out in Japan some time ago.

I had a lot of fun last weekend, thanks a lot for hosting Pete. I feel real bad that I don't remember one of the Houston guy's name. But Issac and the P-Ciel player both improved a lot since Texas Showdown.

I will work on uploading the replays to my youtube. I'll post in my video thread when I get them done.

Thank you cphame for putting us up for the weekend and encouraging the massive consumption of alcohol. I will never forget the wall of bottles that stood as a testament to the festivities that sunday morning.
Big ups to inso for coming on down and bodying us all, playing you helped me learn a little bit more about the game and it's good to see how the level of play is elsewhere in the world.
Shoutouts to the houston crew that came down and played a few games with us; you guys are doing really well and it's great to see how you're hungry to play more; hopefully we'll meet up again in the future

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been out of touch lately. Summer class plus D3 have taken up a lot of time. (not to mention car accident and family visits...)

Yep. Two actually. A drunk driver hit my car while it was parked outside my apt. It's prolly totaled.
And then someone went straight in a turn only lane and hit me while I was turning left in my rental car...
Not the best luck with drivers lately. I think that I've been involved in more car accidents in the last 4 months then all the rest of my time driving. Like I think my number of total accidents has been multiplied by 4, and none of them were my fault either...

Hello everyone, I used to be mostly a KOF/GG player, though I did play MBAC as a side game most of the time (I used to mainly play as Kohaku/Nanaya Shiki).

Recently I've been trying to balance myself, thinking about playing a mix of MBAACC, SCV, and KOFXIII. I live somewhere in Frisco, TX. Currently, my only method of playing Melty is online (50/50 chance of good connection). Though soon, that'll probably change (I just don't know when).

Btw, I'm a C-Ryougi main.

Hello there! Welcome to Melty in DFW (at least I'm assuming you mean the Frisco that is North of The Colony and Plano).

Well, there are some MB players that are kinda close by. You're not too far from Lewisville, Carrolton, and Richardson. Also, you're not far from Denton. There are players at all of these locations. Although I kinda doubt it, we may be able to pick you up to come to meet-ups until you can come on your own. It's worth asking about, so PM me if you might be interested in that.

We usually host Melty meet-ups in Denton, or we bring Melty to one of the meet-ups hosted by the guys in the Dustloop DFW thread(Carrolton/Richardson area). I usually post where Melty will be in this thread every week.

As far as netplay goes, I'm not sure who plays netplay in the area. I played a total of one time with Pfhor, who lives like 5 min away from me, and it was still bad. But I guess I can try again. I've actually been thinking about trying to play a little more netplay with the people in this area I know, as a tool to play more often. I don't know why, but I just find being on IRC constantly to be such a pain to keep up with, and I usually forget to log in when I have free time... I'll try out some net play though.

As far as communication goes, since there are not too many of us in DFW, I use texting and this thread as the 2 main ways to communicate with everyone. If you like, I can PM you my number for getting a hold of me. Otherwise, just PM me on these forums.

Again, welcome. I hope to meet you in person when you can make it to meet-ups.

Good meetup this weekend, I learned a little more, and was nice to play against everyone. There was talk about competitive catherine, and it would be nice to see where that goes.
