GGs to all whom I played in the tourney (Ennvi, Psy, Dakanya, sync, magz, lina) and in casuals afterwards (magz, Kryo, buzz, Scott). Thanks to everyone who showed up and thus making this the biggest WT so far. It was very tiring yet a lot of fun. Thanks for waiting on me too. I'll make sure my group does NOT get lost next time around because I too was looking forward to the 5v5 team battle. -_- Downtown LA is a scary place to be (don't ask how we ended up there), and they're holding AX there next year? W.....T.....F. Also, for those who did, thanks for watching me and Psy (GG+MB pad warriors) duke it out in the GG tourney. I wanted my pad back. :'(

Random observations based on the results:
-Scott and I get the same ranking and lose to the same characters AGAIN. x_X (think WT6)
-Me and Numa are defeated by the same players.
-Kijea and Nerina are too fucking good.

Whoever has the rest of the tourney replays, upload them to the ftp plz. :V

Will WT9 be in December? If so, please let it not be on the weekend of the 21st. I don't really want to rush back from Phoenix again. :-X

pulled off 3 arc drives, 2 of which are BH. 10+ baras, though the last bara bit me in the ass, and i backflipped into hisui EX Dust. Freaking numakie, i win all of my casual matches against him, but still lost in tournament. nigga was sandbagging all that time i think...

"Secleto weapons" placing high is no surprise. I liked Nerina over Kijea though (would have lost this bet  :P). I'm feeling the random results too; shows that it's "anyone's game".

Good shit to WC for keeping mb scene alive w/ regular (and outstanding events)...you're all still fucking cheaters for having seasoned players  :emo:.

Right after the tourney ended I threw up all the replays people remembered to save on my laptop on the FTP. Go get 'em! Unfortunately, with the exception of a round or two, you will have to wait on the top8 (even though they were played on my laptop) because people didn't save replays due to live recording being used.
Oh snap, I just remembered - this tourney had well over 32 people, so it gets an awards icon!

Actually, I wanted to make a special award for West Toast X as a major, but knowing how things go, either Nerina or Kijea will win that one anyhow (unless EC comes down- GET HYPE).

Hey guys, I had a lot of fun at WT8, it was great seeing everyone again, especially the NorCal people.  Good games to everyone I played, I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to play too many casuals, but that means I should just arrive earlier next time :P.  Also, Nerina and co. and kijea are too good at MB and GGAC, damn.  Thanks again to Nerina for teaming up with me in the GG tourney, you were the anchor of the team!

Nerina doesn't post cause he doesn't know much about melty bread or his local MB players.  Santa Cruz has next to 0 active MBers.  Also, he still has trouble reading and understanding English.  So he stays away from these forums (but I managed to get him into the IRC hype).  You should talk with Kenyon to help him get into melty bread forums.

Good games everyone who came to WT8.  For me, it happened to become the night of the rematches against various players.  Quite entertaining, and lots of hype. haha

Jaxx - It was great seeing you come down from AZ to see us again.  It was awesome seeing you again.  Also thanks for cheering me on throughout the night.  Keep that Nero up, man

Envii - Those EX Throws sorta gave me a bit of a scare. Made me think twice about staying on the ground.  Keep up that Kouma, and keep that Miyako just cuz =P

Psyplade - Me against you on as my first tournament match of the day @.@. Lol. Its too bad that you had to leave in the middle of it all.  I hope we can have our rematch again.

Tsubasa - You beat me on casuals, i beat you on tournie.  We're even. Lol. It was fun getting another rematch together. We even got the same stage on the 2nd match.  haha.  It was great seeing you again, one Hisui player to another. ;D

Scott - I told ya i can shield the whole set of knives in a real match! lol.  It's also funny how we get rematched with each other yet again in the tourny.

Leo - It was great facing your Satsuki again after a long period of.. uhh.. not playing it ;P This would also happen to be our 3rd rematch in a tourny.

Linalys - The utter feeling of defeat. haha. Sorry for the break down. The match became a bit of a "pride match" for me, being that it was a Mirror match an all.  You got me good in the end though in the end. I guess that makes us 2/2 in tourneys. Grats on getting 3rd. You deserved it. :toot:

HDPwnz and Sanchez - Remember, I'm the Color 18 - Sephia/Old Timey Hisui.  ;D  Cant wait to hear your commentary.
