the best would be the weekends between AX and ComicCon

AX is July 3rd-6th
ComicCon is July 24th-27th

2 week window. Of course it would be best to see when desert coast is coming down  :psyduck:
I agree...I live at a sort of half way point, about 25-30mins from Bell's place, 15fwy usually not too bad. So people can drive to my place and I can maybe Van up a group the rest of the way, if not my car fits 3 others.

Who else besides me and Carl going to ComicCon??

I told you not to quit!

Then again, you managed to out-slack most of the online support team... I don't even know how the fuck that is possible, but you did it.

There are 3 possible weekends for AMIII:

July 12-13
July 19-20
August 2-3

These weekends do not include the ones when AX and Comic Con are taking place.

Be sure to post the following so we can get an accurate head count:
-Which weekend is most convenient for you.
-Which side events you're interested in (AH, IaMP, SWR).

To avoid double posting, or editing and having no one read it, I've deleted my previous post.

Anyways:

I'm personally fond of "the sooner, the better", but as I previously mentioned, any weekend works well for me.

As far as actual side-events, depends on cost. I can mash some in AH. IaMP, not so much. Also suggesting some potential Guilty Gear and Hokuto no Ken  :V

Guilty Gear and Hokuto no Infinites are not on the list.

Why Guilty Gear is not on the list: GG already gets a huge amount of play in the SoCal region, more specifically in the OC area so there's no need to include this here. Casuals for GG is abundant as it is.

Why Toki no Ken is not on the list: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0seAOBHjxE

On the same note here's why GG isn't on the list.

Ok just jumped into this thread regarding the tourneys and whatnot; I don't know how far everyone is from Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks (SoCal) but I found a hall that can be rented out near my house on Kester and Camarillo...don't know the exact address yet. I've been trying to call up about it but I suppose I have to call eariler during the day because they don't answer the phone around 6pm, if if any of you guys want to call them up and maybe set something up then here's the number(s)

Call 3108014591 or 8182354593

You'll probably be able to get the full address too...just a suggestion :)

I've pretty much got a job... now the only problem is securing time off. Have we decided on a definite date yet? The later, the better.

i plan to go to this! the probability of me being able to make evo just keeps going down, and since there are no WTs anytime soon, i really want to show up to this~ been too long since the last tourney. i am probably flying down there, unless norcal wants to carpool. i think july 19-20 is a good weekend, btw

Well I guess the hall is out of the question :'( but it was just a suggestion

But anyway I'm down to go to the tourney for this; I'm off on the weekends usually but I'm usually working on either music on my off time. But I can take some time off of that to come by and play a few rounds; I know I'll get my as whupped but at least I can play a few rounds! lol

JO50, you're going to have to turn your voice down five to ten notches while we're at bell's place, you beast.

I'll check with my new job on Monday to make sure I can go.

Sounds good to me, with Friday being casuals/whatever day. July 18-20th then. July 18-20.

Let's discuss setups and accomodations.

I have two 36" CRT TVs, one with a PC that has all the current doujin fighters installed (as well as Steam and some random MMOs lols). The other CRT TV has a PS2 hooked up but can be used for a PC or laptop if someone brings it. Both TVs have s-video inputs, and I have one external speaker setup (the other setup which I used at WTX can be hijacked from my setup in my room if needed, but I recommend against this due to noise considerations).

The living room is currently empty. A TV or two can be set up there.

There's a power strip and two ethernet ports for internet in the gameroom, as well as wireless for everyone else. There's two available bedrooms for people to crash as well as the couches, La-Z-Boys, and the futon (as well as the floor I suppose).

Ask questions if you have any!

Yes, actually, you do.

Probably 9-11 people, between the couches (2), futon (1), La-Z-Boys (2), and 2 bedrooms (4-6).

And no, not really, unless you like lots of American or Mexican food. I guess there's a Korean BBQ place and a bunch of pho places, everything else is generic mall/franchise shit.

Alright then it's settled. July 19-20 it is.

Now just post up about which side events you're interested in (AH, IaMP, SWR) so we can get a potential head count and probably set aside time for them.
