I won't really know who is coming for sure until we open the registration on Saturday, but I hope we get more people than expected! We are striving to provide the best experience for everyone that comes out to the event.

Who's coming or is this game dead D:
I think that's not the case. The truth is I don't know because I don't live in US (Brazilian) nor do I enter mizuumi channel, but my impression is that people here are too educated and they preffer to ignore instead of insulting.

I mean "king of anime" wtf, what a gay name, now paint it pink/yellow and make something not official, runned by the community. First of all who invented this gay thing "anime games"? Fuck anime games, I play Melty Blood!! Respect me!! Also, a tourney with SFxT, MK9 and SCV lol (and UMvC3). As far as I know Melty players would only go to such kid's birthday party if it was EVO or another big event with Melty as one of the official games.

Until tournament organizers do their homework about Melty Blood, respect it, and plan serious things for it, I personally see no reason for people to attend such tournaments. It's much better for Melty players to spend their money in their own tournaments.

Again, I don't live in US nor do I know what people here (MeltyBread) thinks, but even I were in US I wouldnt go for the reasons I've mentioned.
A little bit of console ain't too bad.

@Cristu: Sorry that you were insulted by the "King of Anime" moniker. It is meant as a joke, because informally the games listed are referred to as "anime" games by many in the Dayton/Cincinnati community. Whether or not that is funny is really based on your on perspective, though I understand where you're coming from.

I find it sad that even though we express interest in hosting MBCC no matter what the entrant level, that you insist players should not come based only off of a moniker and the colors chosen for a logo. Those reasons are rather shallow.

If you want MBCC to be respected, then encourage players to come support the game. Once the game is supported regularly and numbers grow it will have a better position in regards to becoming an official tournament game at non-Melty only events.

It is a courtesy that PU2012 Staff are being allocated to side tournaments for GGAC, BBCSEX, MBCC, and AH3. We cannot run all of these games as official tournaments because there is simply not enough time. So we go for the next best thing and guarantee tournaments for these games in a side capacity.

Again, I understand your bitterness and anger in regards to "King of Anime" and the colors chosen for the logo. I hope more people realize that this logo and moniker are merely jokes, but in the end perhaps the joke is in poor taste. Apologies for that, but I want everyone to know that PU2012 takes tournaments for these games very seriously no matter how many entrants we will have.

On a different note:

Edit: Are all of the "Kings of Anime" games getting some stream time or only certain games?

King of Anime games will not be getting any stream time from Team Spooky. However! We will be having at least Top 4 for each KoA game recorded at the KoA Recording Station run by Pope Temmy. Upload will occur later for your viewing pleasure on YouTube.

Also,

Pre-Registration has closed, but you can still utilize Emergency Registration in-person from 9am, Friday, April 13th until 9:30am, Saturday, April 14th.

Safe travels to all, and see you at the event!

Sorry about that Beno~.

I posted up that pre-reg ended at 12:00am, April 9th, so that is right after 11:59pm, April 8th. Essentially the 8th was the last day to pre-reg; I should have been more clear.

However, in-person registration will still happen if you would like to play an official tournament game such as Skullgirls. $40 for your weekend pass, which also gets you in to Arcade Legacy for the entire weekend, and then just $10 Game Entry for Skullgirls.

But of course, do what you feel is best for your time and money : )
