Tokyo Game Action Ranking Battle 3-1 [11/24/2007, MA]
« on: October 30, 2007, 08:08:16 PM »
The TGA ranking battles are back after a long hiatus (due to SBO and things just taking longer to get out to the middle of nowhere), with a new season of loli fighting to begin. Any series where I finish top three all kinds of messed up; let's try to fix things this time around.

Address:
Tokyo Game Action
5 Summer Dr.
Winchendon, Massachusetts 01475

Date & Time:
Saturday, November 24th, 2007

$20 dollar cover (apparently this is a three-time change)
$2 to enter most tournaments (3S is $5). For Melty Blood (and any other $2 game), winner takes all.

Melty Blood is part of the lineup here, starting at 7 PM. The tournament is run on ver.B arcade cabinets, whoop whoop.

Other games being run:

Capcom vs SNK 2
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Some Shitty Loli Fighting Game (on some shitty console port)

Rules:

-DOUBLE ELIMINATION! Best 2 out of 3.
-Winners and Losers Finals will be best 3 out of 5.
-Grand Finals will still be 3/5 (only game like this :V).
-You are not obliged to stick with the same character throughout the ENTIRE tournament. You may switch up at anytime except when you win a match. If you lost a match or your about to face a new opponent, you may choose to stick with the same character you've been using or another character.
-If you lose, you can change your team/character. Winner must stick with the same character until he loses.
-There are to be NO GAME FREEZING GLITCHES IN ANY GAME. If you do I'm going to kick your ass! (And by I, I mean Gavin) Plain and simple.

Brackets are seeded based on prior performance. The current rankings:

Wait wtf it's a new season? There are no rankings!

Players will be first split by region, then seeded randomly. Or however the hell Gavin decides to do it.

Directions:

    * From 95 North, take EXIT 6B towards 495 North.
    * From 495 N, take EXIT 29B, then that'll be Rt.2 WEST. (20-30 min drive)
    * From Rt. 2 W, take EXIT 24B, then tha'll be Rt.140 NORTH. (10-15 min drive)
    * From Rt. 140 N, keep going straight down for about 15 min.
    * Eventually you are going to run on a little bridge with a pond on your right, from there take a RIGHT onto Beech Street.
    * At the end of Beech St., take a right onto 5 Summer Dr. and you'll see our beloved Tokyo Game Action.

Sadly, they took the video equipment out of MB:AC and stuck it in CvS2. Who the hell plays CvS2? >:( Hopefully someone will bring a camcorder and record on their own.

I'm definitely gonna try to show up to this, I need to hit up another tourney before NEC.

Also for console AH, I'll bring my Sanwa-modded HRAP.
