Tehee. I obviously had nothing better to do than recreating the Roa sprite from the scans at Akiba. Took me one hour, I think it's not bad. I hope, the actual Roa from AA looks better, because their spriting skillz rock.

Moving on, according to this, it looks like Melty Blood: Actress Again didn't get a showing at the same place (AOU) games like Street Fighter 4, Blazblue, and Arcana Heart 2 were being shown off of at. Quoting the page:

I also took a quick look at the Sega prize booth, and it said there’re some Melty Blood Act Cadenza figures coming out in the summer, with characters in swimsuits! The confirmed characters are Arcueid, Ciel, and Sion. Mmm.. Sion sounds good~

Hi all!
My opinion: the best is PS2. Most ppl now use sticks or joypads rather than keyboards (there are sticks that can port to PS2 etc). PS2 is also make the no lagg game, so you can enjoy it 100%. Plus on PS2 you can play with the 2-2 matches at once cuz there is a Multitap that generates +4 slots. So 4 ppl can enjoy the game at once. And 2 PS2's are the best, so even 4-8 ppl (group of friends) can enjoy the game. The only requirement is a house where they can gather. But this is a problem that solvable I think.

About Arcade:
Sure arcade places are also best for gatherings and challanges. For me it's the 2nd best idea for getting some good games. The only "bad" thing for me is the stick, I really can't play with them...I have no talent for playing with them (but that's me). I prefer joypad or keyboard.

for most fighting games I would have to say the PS2. For MBAC in particular, computers are the way to go just shove in an adapter for putting in whatever stick you want, and If you are a sneeky devil with an overpowered compy running duel booting linux with wine, and windows, and duel screens *Im just missing the overpowered compy part when I try this they both run at 40-45fps* you can play 2 versions of MBAC at the same time on different screens hahahaha.

There's not only your game, but Arc System Works has BlazBlue, SNK has a fantastic-looking game in King of Fighters 2008, the new Melty Blood looks great--and that's just to name a few. My question to you is where do you believe Street Fighter IV fits in? And by any chance is there a new fighter coming out that you're interested in?

Yoshinori Ono: As far as the role that Street Fighter IV is going to play in this fighting game renaissance that we're seeing, your instinct might be to assume that we think that we're the leader of this group, but we don't necessarily feel that way. What we've seen with Street Fighter are all these amazing creators throughout the series that have created this great platform for everyone to build from. There hasn't been a Street Fighter game in a while, and so this base has been shrinking and so the genre itself has become more narrow as a result.

So we don't think of ourselves as the top, but as the base and we're once again trying to broaden that platform. And if we can bring other fighting games up with us--if we can help Guilty Gear become a better game or get more people playing Melty Blood and get fighting games back into the mainstream--then I think we'll truly have a renaissance and we'd be more than satisfied at that point.

We don't want to march out on the playground and beat everyone else up. We want everyone to have fun.

As far as games that I want to play, Soul Calibur IV is definitely at the top. I've played all the other games in the series but I haven't gotten a chance to play this one yet. I've only seen the trailers and screenshots, so my curiosity is definitely piqued.

No way, if they were carrying it over to a new format they'd probably start from scratch or at LEAST massively rebuild the game, like the new KoF and blazblue. MBAA is introducing a lot of new shit but the core gameplay engine, features, and sprites look the exact same, there's no way they'd take the effort of porting that over to a new system rather than doing a full upgrade to the whole game.

theres alot of good reasons for putting it on Taito Type X2

first one being naomi emulation

2nd one being sega no longer sells gd-roms

3rd being join the bandwagon and switch to taito type x2

oh and it dont have to play differently if its on something else, just look at MS6 and atomiswave, that switch didnt change the core game play much

also id think a pc based arcade board would be easier to make patches for than naomi(i may be wrong)

sega no longer sells gd-roms, that means ecole/TM/F-B must use roms to run it on naomi, roms don't have that much storage on them in general and if the game is too much, it will have to use two roms to run the game. two roms to run the game means your gonna have to pay more

You're seriously underestimating how much this game would cost on Naomi vs typeX2. Naomi hardware by itself still goes for $400 to $500 and this game on a cart versus the now out of production gd-rom = painful.

Personally I'm hoping they will use the examu hardware which is dirt cheap.

Naomi board is actually really cheap by itself, it becomes more pricey like you said only if you add the GD rom drive and the dimm board needed to play GD games, but this game on a naomi cartridge is pretty unlikely to happen as the rom is 168Mo max.
