Besides patching the EXE, the new patch also fixes typos with Archetype's command lists and story mode ending.  It does so by dropping a patch file 0008.p

Translators out there, this means you could repack all your work into 0008.p without worrying about modifying anything else.

Works with version 1.2. Functionality as usual: Keyboard configuration, Linux fix, automatic CPU affinity setting, delay value tweak. Special thanks to mauve for a new tweak to the delay values.

Will the final translations be QC'ed or proofreaded?  It looks promising so far.
i gave the whole thing over to another translator since all i did was just insert someone else's ps2 translation which didn't have everything the pc version does, but dunno if it's really needed anymore since mirrormoon picked it up.

Anybody else getting the "Cannot open arhive" error when trying to patch the game to 1.2?

I figured this is as good a place to ask as any, since I can't get help elsewhere...

EDIT: Nevermind, solved my problem by opening the patch with winrar (even though it was an .exe file...) and copying the files into my game folder.

One thing I WOULD like to discuss though, is how Mauve's delay tool actually causes MORE lag for my friend and I when we play with it, rather than without it.
What's up with that?

I think the delay tool decreases input lag, and not lag itself. Of course, if you have a laggy connection with someone, I don't think using that tool is a good idea...

If I use the delay tool, the game is completely unplayable, but if I use the version right before, everything works perfectly.

Yeah, that's the same problem my friend and I have. Funny thing is, the tool doesn't affect my game at all if I play offline

still better than a 2050+ release without proper patching tools.

right now the only way is to either unpack the files yourself or use the pre-unpacked files from someone else. first one fails because there are no actual public tools, second could be seen as piracy.

and there's no way to repack them yet, not to mention a full script translation for everything.

For anyone that cares, the song that plays in Archetype's stage isn't actually called "Hime Stage."

According to Raito, it's called "開闢を讃う姫歌 (かいびゃくをたたうひめうた)", which roughly means... uh... probably something along the lines of "The Princess's Song That Gives Praise To All Creation."

Well recently the tool has started lagging for me now as well.  I really have no idea what's causing it.

Vs my friend in Cali:
If we use the tool, we get delay 4 with ping at around 100 and then spikes of high 100s- high 200s.  If we don't use the tool, there are no spikes with delay 5; ping of ~80-90.  If my friend uses the tool and I don't, we get slight spikes up to low 100s with delay 5.  If I use it and he doesn't, we get the big spikes and high ping with delay 4.

EDIT: I was hosting all three times (direct host).  I just tried against someone else and there's no lag spikes at all.  This just seems really weird because when I played with my friend around a month ago, we had no problems with the tool and it ran fine.  It was only recently it started giving us lag spikes.
