Melty Blood Auditorium / Status bar
« on: April 23, 2008, 10:20:58 PM »
I'm sure this has been asked before, so a link would be appreciated. Sorry for my failure at using the search bar.

What do all of the colors represent in the practice mode's status bar? And also, could you explain the differences between red-green and full green?

Red:Uncancellable
Red-Orange:EX cancellable ((Or follow-up move, like Miyako's 236A-6A))
...

Thanks so much~

Ahaha... Sorry, I meant I had tried Download Helper, not Download Manager.

What program works best? I've tried Greasemonkey and Download Helper, but Greasemonkey gets 403 Forbidden's half of the time, and the other half I get an empty file. Download Manager doesn't even start downloading...

Awww... sorry guys, I didn't rip it either. =X

Some of the information:
Interviewer was cosplaying as Saki. :3

Arcana button now split into D and E buttons.

"Arc drives." I couldn't tell if they were available only during Arcana Activation or not.

There's now a different Homing cancel, I think called Arcana Homing Cancel.

Six new characters and six new Arcana:
-Petra, reminiscent of the girl in white from Mnemosyne. Uses two pistols Akatsuki Blitzkampf's nun style, with one of her Supers being a shot that flies around the screen.
-Bunny-girl-loli-mechapilot. Kira-look-alike, but seems more dependent on wide-area attacks instead of grabs.
-Magician-loli. A really short combo was shown, so I couldn't tel much.
-Nun who wields a cross. Attack and movement speed reminds me of Kamui.
-Nun with bat wings.
-Girl with a violin case that turns into a PILEBUNKER FIST.  :prinny:

More information as I remember it. Sorry, guys.

Aa-- Sorry, I meant to say, "I have one PS2 joystick and one Xbox 360 stick, and I would like to play using both." However, I doubt that changes anything.

Ah well, thanks a bunch, guys~

I have a two-port PS2 ((always on, even when there aren't controllers in)) converter, and whenever I plug in my other stick, which is USB, the two PS2 controllers take priority.

Besides uninstalling one of the drivers, is there a program I can use to reorder which controllers are first and second?

Because pressing Enter once is just too hard? You could even use Joy2Key to map it to a button on your stick. =P

I main as Suika, but I enjoy playing as Remi and Sakuya. I'd play as Alice, except I hate the stupid whistle-beep-twirl. At least HOAAAA is epic.

⑨⑨⑨⑨⑨⑨⑨⑨⑨

I agree about the p=i+m formula, so I've been putting off IaMP so my friends can focus on Melty.

But shouldn't it be:
Let P = max/potential skill of player.
Let I = player's skill in IaMP.
Let M = player's skill in MBAC.
Let a = player's skill in Arcana Heart,

Therefore,
I+a+M=P

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: Custom MBACPC Music? Check!
« on: February 29, 2008, 05:16:28 PM »
I've made a few Touhou additions to my game, replacing Sion's, Warakia's, and Kohaku's music, as well as a change only the veterans will recognize. I'm pretty content with my playlist now, but if anyone else wants a full transformation to ZUN's compositions, tell me and I'll get started.

Note: The attached jumps a bit, but it was the closest I could get to looping correctly without deleting too much on either end, or making it sound like muck. Replaces 44, in case it wasn't obvious. I'll work on it a bit more when I get home.

I was hoping to replace it with Tsukihime's title song, but looping the character select music is stupidly hard...

I thought they weren't going to use GD-ROMs and instead putting it on a PCB.

Hrrmm... Statistics of the sticks say that 55's are really light ((175g pressure, Sanwa is 210g)). I was looking for something with equal or less give than a Sanwa. I wanted to try a Seimitsu so I could try an octagonal gate without having to buy one and end up just having it lie around the house... Ah well. Thanks for the input.

I heard that they were "less ruggedly built" than other sticks, but is that just referring to the spring, or is it actually easier to break?

Any personal reviews are welcome as well!

She has the lowest of anyone, haha.

That's surprising. Kohaku only has 236, 214, and 22 moves, so I would have thought that she had the fewest. Miyako at least has a 623. I guess the difference lies in their Arc Drives...

X3 I got some of my friends addicted to this. We're now trying to make cars and importing them and crashing them into each other. XD

I'm thinking of trying to make an obstacle course that we have to solve, or just a typical Rube-Goldberg machine. But what to use for the objective...?

Idea! THROW THE PRINNY! XD

Speaking from experience as a programmer trying to make a Nanoha-based fighter, there are an insane number of frames. I began using three dimensional models, then using gif-rips of the animation. Even on the highest picture compression, Flash took at least ten minutes to compile. Needless to say, it was impossible to work with. I'm redoing the entire engine, using maybe two or three frames per animation, hand-drawn into vectors, and it's still taking forever. Given, I'm no artist, but it's still tough enough to realize that the crazy guys ((and hopefully girls)) at French Bread deserve more respect than they receive.

Insert Aoko "Sugoi sugoi!" here.

Uwaaaaaa~~ Nandeyanen, that's amazing, and exactly what I was looking for! I learned the game through practice and replay reviewing, but ((ahaha)) that doesn't work for most normal humans. =P

Thank you so much, everyone, for you help!
