We all play Starcraft super casually with the exception of Ginseng, who now plays it merely casually, but a Guilty Gear player going to the ranbat may be bringing a couple of his friends who seem to play it more than us. So if you want to bring someone, I don't think we'd mind, but there will probably be less than four people who actually know how to play it properly.

I'll probably show up at around 1pm or so. (Maybe even 2pm if I'm lazy - don't put it past me.) Percival says he'll come and will be in the RnC until it closes, but then he's free for the rest of the day. John China will show up when he shows up. He'll probably sleep in more than me.

Please understand that we've had an experience with a troll before who said that there was a venue with MBAA that even had some foreign exchange Japanese students playing on it, so we can't help but be skeptical. The fact that you posted pictures up this time is really helpful in alleviating skepticism. I live very close to SF, so I'll be checking this out whenever you have it ready.
By the way, what are your thoughts on getting Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for your arcade? I know there are quite a few people in the area (including myself) who would like a nice arcade venue with the game, especially on Japanese parts. The closest arcade that has it is San Jose State University - an hour away. I realize that arcade cabinets are already quite costly, so it's understandable if you don't want to invest in another one at the moment; I'd just like to hear your thoughts on obtaining one.

« on: December 31, 2008, 12:10:11 AM »Both Arcuied, and Warc have short range. It's impossible to block, then counter attack without getting out-ranged by everything in Tohno/Nanaya's arsenal. I have the same problem against Kouma and against Ciel. Also Warc is supposed to have superior air to air, correct? Well, I'm constantly being beaten out by JC, regardless of what I do. I usually win the aerial war with Arcuied's JC, but I fail with Warc.
Don't hit buttons after blocking j.C. If you want to hit buttons, shield it instead.
Let Nanaya run his million year-long blockstrings. He'll just rebeat a million times and then throw you for 500 damage. Just jump out when you see an obvious gap.
Warc j.B is godly.
Block more.

I just realized the GG ranbat this Saturday starts at fucking noon. I am not waking my ass up that early for a 1.5-2 hour commute for that, so I'd be down for something on Saturday. Let's hope the BlazBlue cabinet is up by then.
