I work all of this week. Only time i'm able to play is Friday at Control Alt Delete, but theyre having a 3S and Guilty tourney, so i might not even go cause there might not be a TV there for us. =/

In other news, i pwned some n00bs at Anime Iowa in Melty this weekend. They were sadfaced.

Zar - i was referring more to the finals where i had the winning combo and i dropped it. Happened way too often. But it was my own fault, and im not gonna dwell on it. Im just saying that im ready for it if i ever play him again.

I was also teching backwards when he did it mid-screen in the finals, but it didnt save me in the end.

I unno if finals are going up or not, but either way, thats the past, im just looking forward to the next time i play

Needless to say, i dont plan on falling for the same stuff again.

How does he do it?
now that you mention it, Chibi DOES have a lot of posts...

the same reason zar lost to me.

Alex G was getting his inputs, i wasnt.

when i played Zar, i was getting my inputs, he wasnt.

That and against Alex G, i wasnt really playing smart. Everytime he did the air 2C and i teched, he always hit me for that. When i didn't, he waited and 2Ced me. He was either able to see it on reaction or he was listening to my buttons. And instead of like, staggering strings, i kept on doing 236B. Just lousy playing in general combined with poor decision making while Alex G was playing well screwed me over. Shoulda just picked Kohaku and randomed it up.

And in between this tourney and when i went to NY i hella practiced to make sure i didnt mess things up AS MUCH.

Man, why is the mai otome money match so much better than the Melty Blood matches? :-\

Sled - Yeah, pretty much its a side game and not too many people really play. I'm gonna see about having another gathering or something.

So yeah, is anyone else in Chicago up for another gathering, we'll find a day soon before summer is over and lets do this. Im busy the weekend of the 11th/12th, but aside from that, i generally have ONE day off of the weekend, either sat/sun. I can have like, 4-5 people in my room comfortably, more if people dont mind squeezing in, i have an AC and air fresheners, so its all good.

Cross-posted this on SRK.

BTW i dont have the PC version.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun, and i definitely benefited from playing a ton of casuals beforehand with those guys. Sion is just too cheap though.

BTW thanks for adding the three new vids, dippy!

tsukihimeblood - I was the guy playing regular sion with a soul calibur 2 hori and an arcueid shirt.

And yeah, we don't have cabinets here, we just play at whoever's house. If someone organizes a session, that'd be your best bet.

I cant promise anything due to work, but we'll see. :)

Tsukihimeblood - I live in Chicago and im always looking for more comp. If youre willing to put the effort into trying to get better, then its all good cause there's always room for improvement. Gotta start somewhere.

Do you know where in Chicago youre gonna be heading to?

Good games to all. It was a lot of fun.

The characters used were:
XAQ - Arc, Warachia, Mech Hisui
me - Sion
Zar - Kouma
Sp00ky - V.Sion, H&K
Zaelar - Ciel
Dippy - Nanaya
Nas - Tohno
Sibladeko - Warc
GunflameBuri - Miyako
Sabin - Chaos

Overall im very pleased with how i did. Im glad that this second place finish was a lot better than my last embarassing 2nd place finish at evo north. Good games all weekend to everyone i played against. You guys make me wish we had people this dedicated for Melty back home.

Im bringing my 13 inch for this. If someone wants a bigger TV for melty, theyre gonna bring it.

I guess im gonna get there somewhat early and set up my JP ps2 on that TV and claim it as used for the melty tourney we're gonna have.

Leicanos - Sorry dude, union station is hella far from me, so i wouldnt really be able to conveniently pick you up. If you were flying into ohare, it wouldnt be a problem, but thats a bit too far.

Before the round i usually jump, so please air throw me at the beginning of the round everytime.  :teach:

And after the end of the round if i win, when i do something, its mostly Shion's 236B or 236C.

I'm Rob. I'm the guy that HintaLove was talking about in his article. So yeah, i'm in Japan now at the same place as Hinta, and i'm from Chicago, so when the school year ends in may, that's where i'm going back.

I play Shion in Melty, i wont claim to be good, but i will claim to do B whip a lot though.

I play a buncha other games too, Arcana Heart, Naruto 4, Soul Calibur 2/3, Tekken DR, etc. You may have seen me post on a number of other various sites as well.
