Singles are being run on Saturday, along with Arcana Heart 3.
Sunday will be Aquapazza and Chaos Code.
I have two issues with running teams.
The first is that these games don't have huge communities, so even getting an 8 team bracket is somewhat hard to do.
The second is that not many people appear to take teams seriously to begin with. So instead of running teams that most people see as a formality, I would much rather give other smaller games some exposure.

52
I'll be running MB again, heads up to everyone. More actual details later.
Here are our rules~

GENERAL GAME RULES:
Best 2/3 Games (Best 3/5 for Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals. Loser must reset brackets in Grand Finals before winning)
Default Time
No Handicap
Either player may request a blind pick
Winner must report match to a tournament organizer immediately after the match.
You are responsible for your stick, or pad, or hitbox. You are coming to a tournament, bring your equipment. I have to bring my stuff to run it, there's no reason you can't show up with what you need to play.

GAME SPECIFIC RULES:
Arcana Heart Rules
Winner is character locked (Arcana change o.k.)
Loser may change character, as well as Arcana.
Simple Mode is allowed.

Aquapazza Rules
Winner is character locked (Partner change o.k.)
Loser may change character, as well as partner.
Simple Mode is banned.
Boss Ma-Ryan is allowed.

Melty Blood Rules
Winner is character locked (Moon change o.k.)
Loser may change character, as well as moon.
Non VS mode levels are banned.

Acceptable Controllers
Any wired arcade stick is cleared.
Any wired PS2/PS1 pad with a PS3/USB Converter is cleared.
Any wired PS3 Pad is allowed. (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE WIRELESS CONTROLLERS WITH USB CABLE)
The only allowed native wireless PS3 controller is the Dualshock 3. The Battery MUST be removed from the controller, you must bring your own USB cable.
If you are playing a game that is on PC, your controller/stick must be plug and play on a PC with no extra software (THIS INCLUDES MOTIONJOY). This means no Dualshock 3s, and no older PS3 TEs.
If you are using a Hitbox or keyboard style controller, your controller must be SOCD Cleaned (http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/socd-cleaner-kit-now-available.148881/ will explain this).

If Melty players want a stream, you guys gotta get on that, i'm running the tournament, i'm not supplying a stream (even the AH3 stream isn't me). I have no problem with anyone running a stream (clear it through me first!), as long as it doesn't slow down the tournament, or effect the performance of one of the stations. You guys are on your own for internet connection and the such though, because once again, i'm not in control of that.

To be honest, that's not even the issue. The majority of the hold ups were xs stick doesn't work on y setup, or people playing in other games, I can't dq someone for playing in another game.

54
Results are up in the results forum section.
I also may be running Melty at WinterBrawl, i'll have an answer later this month.

There's no reason a game as good as melty should not be at NEC.
There's no reason a port as shitty as this PC one should be run, let alone exist.

Secondly, I am running a major for melty, so I don't know what you mean by the first statement.
If you expect me to start making passive aggressive statements towards the community like the final round thread, i'm sorry to disappoint. If people don't want to enter the game, that's their choice. I'm not going to walk all over them for it.

60
I have nothing to confirm about a stream.
Its a possibility at this point.
Before we worry about streams, we need setups.

Start next month. Announcement this week

62
Wait, if you're not running Melty Blood, then who i....
If someone wants to run a Melty side tournament, beyond NEC, they're more than welcome.
I'd run this game for another 3 years, if it wasn't on PC.
It's a nightmare to have all of these non-standard setups, with different lag in different places. I at least want to make sure that NEC has proper equipment. Anime may have a stream going, more info on that later.

@dumba keep me updated, anything we can get is great.

63
As I stated in IRC after Summer Jam, NEC will be the last Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code major I run, as long as it's on PC.
(If there is a PS3/360 port, we will revisit it. If It's a good port, we're back in there.)
Frankly, this port is ass. PC tournaments are a pain because I can't even get consistent lag across setups.
Because this is my last MBAACC major, I at least want to help things go out with a bang.
I want to get three setups that can run the game as perfectly as possible, that includes a monitor.
I want to get this settled in advance, so that we can focus on everything else.
1.)
2.)
3.)

Singles will start at 2:30pm on Saturday, Teams will start on 1:00pm Sunday.
Teams will be 2 man teams, unless you can get me 8+ teams of 3v3.
Teams will be your standard teams format (Winner stays, team plays until out of players).

74
When the fuck was it stated that we'd be a hindrance? Hal said we may be hard up for space.
Shut the fuck up kids, don't make me turn this car around.

75
Okay, it's almost time. Because the current release is PC, I need your guys help for setups (if it was ps3 or ps2 I'd be fine  :nyoro:)
Is there anyone coming that will be bringing setups? We need 3 setups.
