Of course, Kouma with a Chef's hat and he's holding meltybread
I'm not attending whatever event this is for, but I'd still like a couple t-shirts like this.
I also like the all-male idea.

That stuff comes up after a short while when there are no incoming connections, i believe. Could it be that the hosts port isn't open?

178
The new version works with default settings, so just get that.

Played up to the gargoyle part today before i decided never to touch the game again. There's nothing fabulous about it, grinding XP (souls) and items is lame, and it's not really as "hard" as people claim.

Also if you are complaining about the button configuration in this game you're nuts.
Playing games with your thumbs is nuts.

It was like that in Demon Souls too.
And I'm sure I'd hate that one too.
Hopefully I'll be able to sell this game to someone i know.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional.
Yeah, they love to force their fucked up preferences onto other people.
I wouldn't have even considered playing Melty if not for the fan made keyconfig, or if caster had to use default controls.
Any game that does not allow custom button mapping is Neanderthal bullshit.

Tried this game now; Can't re-map controls, which makes it a piece of fucking garbage.

R.I.P. Gaming industry.

I personally hate playing AA on the emulator. I don't know if it's the emulator or the game itself, but inputs come out wrong, sounds are muffled and get some sort of weird reverb effect, graphics look horrid with scan lines everywhere, plus a lot of other stuff.

I'm sticking with Act Cadenza.
Is there a way you can make the emulator read the memory card files?  :slowpoke: Or are SAkiha players out of luck D; (as well as troll characters  :laffo:)
Works fine, both players just need to have the exact same memory card.

Here's one you can use. Everything is unlocked and auto-save is disabled so that no changes will be made to the memory card.

Get the PC version if you're gonna run MBAC.

184
I dunno if you Americans care, but MBAA has netplay now and here's how:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ovpflibbi3vzim1
Download this version of PCSX2, Load the MBAA ISO into it, then on the PCSX2 menu go to System>Boot netplay.

PS2 = no netplay, which is lame.

Get MBAC PC or the version of PCSX2 with netplay (that's right, MBAA has netplay)

186
One beef i have with playing keyboard: Simultaneous inputs.
Get a keyboard with anti-ghosting.

187
So. Uh. Yeah. Does anyone here have faith in FB to make something as good? I'm actually genuinely curious.
NO.

Oh, we're coming with ideas?

Option to chose old voices for pre-MBAA characters!!!!11 :emo: :emo: :emo: :emo: :emo: >:(

Quote
* Old Options: choose what font will be used for damage (MBR's, MBAC's or MBAA's); the voice for "round 1", "fight", "arc drive finish", etc, and the music to play in character select (MBR, MBAC, MBAA);
This as well.
I hate the announcer in MBAA and i don't particularly like the one in MBAC PC either.
I'd even pay extra for the option to select Aoko as my announcer.

189
evo's been anti-ANIME for awhile now.
Eh? AssBlue was just there ???
Then there was Melty the year before that.

I'm sure you know all of this, so how are they "anti-anime"?

MELTY BLOOD Actress Again Current Code怀ver1.07.
An updated version of what we're currently seeing in arcades (?). Surely it'll all be in there.

As for P-Ciel; damage + oki = broken?

You're going to see way more disconnects as people try to protect their win-loss records and rank.
Can't really see this happening here.
If someone gets a reputation for pulling the plug; people won't play with them and that's their loss.
Opponents in Melty aren't randomly selected after all.

Also, lol at people caring about their points.

Also, there would be several chat rooms, for EU, EC, WC, Asia and whatnot which makes everything easier.
I personally think it would be more fun if everyone could discuss the game together regardless of where they live.
I know we have enough net players in Europe to easily get some action, but there could be less fortunate regions.
I, for one, do not mind playing against people on other continents, and i find it enjoyable to play folk other than my regulars every now and then.

Just my opinion, but i think one chat room where everyone is tagged with their location would benefit more people.

You just gave me a good idea. When two ppl play a match and end it, wouldn't it be good to have match rating? "Was this match good?" is just one of the questions. Of course, that's like taking a survey from some company, but it really helps ppl. On the site there could be a suggestion for each player then: "Hey, you should improve your character XY!" or sth.
I fucking hate being asked to do surveys. If you bring that stuff in; please make it subtle.

Better than Google translation. Thanks.

I'm happy they're not releasing it on console as well. PC is a universal platform and the world-wide Melty community isn't big enough to be split between PC/PS3/XBOX.

A chat would be nice. You could unite Melty players all over the world in one big chat room where the users location ([US][EU] etc.) is shown at the end of their name, for those who are really anal about ping.

An improved character ranking system would be neat, where you can see which players are best with certain characters.

Quote
Player rating could be somthing like, after you played someone, you are able to rate his playstyle. This is splitted into several points. e.g. there could be attributes like "Skill", "Speed", "Offense", "Defense", "Style" etc. Those are samples.
This might allow to categorize players by their attributes. also another kinda ranking as well. Of course, playing someone once won't allow this. You have to play a few games before being able to rate players.
Dunno about this one. Not absolutely everyone is really nice and rational after being destroyed a certain number of times in a row.
I've no strong opinion on this, but i can't see anything useful resulting from it.

Regarding the program (if one is going to be made). It is possible to have a matchmaking feature. Have the program arrange your matches. No more copypasta your IP anymore, the site would take off the work from you. Just click "Challenge" on one of the ppl who are online and wait for his Accept - then the game starts. It could be also possible to enable group chat like IRC. These could be channel seperated as well.
I'd welcome this if it could be implemented.

It's a console game, so no.
The only exception to this rule will be Metal Gear: Rising.

199
Do you have a source for this? I'm curious why such a product would even exist... and this would only really work if there's a button configuration in-game.
No clue where they got it from, as i don't use said controllers myself.
But don't they sell PC gamepads that are basically the same as the dualshock controllers, except they're plug & play by default?
Seems like an even easier solution to me.

All we need for this to be perfect is an MBAC voice patch and a mod version where Ciel commits harakiri if you input 236C :V
