lol 90% of the time id do 22b with sacchin on wakeup. sometimes i get destroyed other times, its a easy 1k damage

btw id think casuals matter a lot. the point is being your actually playing someone. Thus this gives you experience on how generally your opponents would think. Chances are they all read the same guide on the same bnbs with the same blockstrings(okay so a character is gonna have more than one blockstring, but once you experience all the options they have for blockstrings thats better than not knowing any of their options with blockstrings). so playing one guy playing a specific character is gonna give you somewhat of an idea of how another guy plays the same character.

also casuals are the time for experimentation, which equals bigger stuff in tournaments, and not screwing up. And it might help you read up on opponents better. a good example is brandon, went to like 1 or 2 tourneys before that had only 3 people playing. Chances are those past tourney experiences didnt help him as much as the netplay casuals he does all the time.

they are not it was probably their initial move but then sega decided to stop making gd-roms

so they are forced to use rom cartridges if they still wanna use naomi

theres alot of good reasons for putting it on Taito Type X2

first one being naomi emulation

2nd one being sega no longer sells gd-roms

3rd being join the bandwagon and switch to taito type x2

oh and it dont have to play differently if its on something else, just look at MS6 and atomiswave, that switch didnt change the core game play much

also id think a pc based arcade board would be easier to make patches for than naomi(i may be wrong)

made by a bunch of spicks

can only imagine how well the gameplay goes(well they said it will be kinda like smash bros, oh boy)

but if it balances out well i would definitly play it, right now it seems like they should go snk way and have 2 life bars(still have rounds though)

okay new question

situation:
opponent is blocking, i 214a(it becomes blocked) iad out of it then j.c(which hits miraculously or something), go into 2c5c623b(groundslam)5b623c2c5c

now the question is after that last 5c can i jump cancel out of it and go into a grab

also can i jump cancel if i used 214a at the end instead

214a is pretty much the only jump cancellable special in the game. Jump cancel into airthrow always.

The ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY reason not to use 214a before jump cancel into air throw is if you want to throw your opponent really close to the ground using 2c5c IAD airthrow. I, personally, have no faith in this version as you simply need to airthrow earlier or later to do all of Satsuki's airthrow okizeme.

Also, if you hit with a j.C, it is always more damaging to do 2a5b2c5c214a airthrow.

D: still didn't answer the question, anyways that was just an example of after if i do get a hit with j.c

question is if i can still jump cancel on the last 214a or 5c before the airthrow (well actually more like can some1 try this and confirm wether this is possible or not(just set the opponent to crouch block)

i think people have been saying the converters found at wal-mart are good

don't get the xbox 360 ex fighting stix, get some1 to custom make it, or just mod your stix and stick in a pcb and use it.

Depends on how far you wanna go with fighting games

the games that are being played in SBO are
- Arcana Heart 2(bah)
- Hokuto No Ken(lol toki vs toki, maybe rei)
- The King of Fighters ‘98 Ultimate Match(BUSTAH WOLF)
- Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Version B2(wtf not Actress Again, o wells, next year)
- Super Street Fighter II X - Grand Master Challenge(Sonic- sonic- sonic- sonic-)
- Guilty Gear XX^Core(I FOUND THE TOMATO!)
- Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future(EAT DIRT!!!)
- Tekken 6(lol rage system)
- Virtua Fighter 5

other fun fighting games
-smash(if you consider it one)
-IaMP(15 MINUTE MATCHES!!!!)
-lol Big Bang Beat
-Akatsuki Blitzklmapf(they making an arcade version for this soon, and lol JEW PUNCHER)
-not sure if this is fun but rumblefish
-nitroplus(lmfao totally balanced and beautiful animation)
-Vampire Saviors
-Garou Mark of the Wolves
-CVS2(people seem to play that alot)
-MVC2(lmfao SCOOPS, MANGO SENTINEL!!!)
-some other broken/not played as much/dumb shit/its a really awesome game but I cant come up with the name on the top of my head now

as for Magnus, well i think everyone else pretty much said it, obviously your not playing the game right/you area doesnt have competition

sounds to me like they don't know their normals, so tell em to read up, if they don't want to do that, then print it out, keep on beating them, and push em to read it whenever you beat em

i guess the best options is to get them on irc, and get players who play the characters they use to play others as they spectate, i don't wanna say play them directly cause they arn't as concentrated as to how stuff works.

the next best thing is to force yourself into a turtle method and punishing whatever they screw up on. show em that they gotta have a good defense. having an amazing offense is fine especially if your vakiha cause your suppose to rush that shit down but even offensive players have to defend when they're playing top notch players.

uh since they arnt fully used to blocking on wakeup, keep doing a 2aaaaaaaaaa oki to get them used to blocking on wakeup sometimes, if they're starting to shield it well i guess that a bit of practice on shield but if that's the case, ex stupid oki attack(hopefully you'll have enough meter). make sure they know that sometimes simple is better

also if they cant do 623, they gotta learn how to do that, its like universal for "haha now your on the ground BIIIIIITCH" if they can't get it in. first make sure they understand the motion of how 623 work. make em perform it a few times with your guidance, and then make em do it themselves in practice mode, open up the command interpreter thingey so they know where they are screwing up on if they are trying to do it

as for the warc problem, keep punishing and make a small comment(dont pause the game or stop moving) while you play, it'll eventually get into their hard

as for random select thing its best if they know their character fully well, before attempting to learn all about other characters, some ppl may have other opinions on this but i feel this is the best. besides theres threads on character match-ups usually so those are your guides on learning other characters

oh btw just to let anyone know, you can press any button with the direction at the same time

in other words

instead of just 2 1 4 d c

you can do 2 1 4+d c

or instead of 6 3 2 1 4 6 d c
you can do 6 3 2 1 4 d 6+c

oshi- collect 100% to use up for ex hand job lol

ill probably end up stopping at 214a

it is a good idea to sometimes stop and use a 236b, the second your opponent realized whats happening they cant react fast enough to avoid it, its a strong mixup attack imo, and it earns you almost free damage.

imo its only risky at early game and if you use it too many times. hell just using it once(or twice) to scare your opponent into knowing you have that option is a nice advantage. havnt fully gotten used to ending with a 236b, but after i get used to it and mix up between those two, i think ill attempt to add in another mix up of just standing there or whiffing an attack just to make them attack and then go in for a counter attack combo
