Fixed player searching organization a bit and added filtering at the suggestion of duskthanatos.
Adding english player name support looks to be next.

For anyone that doesn't know, all of the nicovideo matches from when MeltyBread stopped 'till now have been uploaded to the KWM youtube channel and added to the database. We now have over 10,000 matches in meltyDB.

So looks like we have almost all of the JP 1.07 matches in there, I'll try to keep everything as up to date as I can. In the meantime there will be some smaller stuff coming up. Something like win rates, searching by win/lose, recommendation system, and character pages way in the future? Would probably be good to redesign the site a bit too.

28
The best we can seem to do at the moment is a restream. Which I've been handling.
Yeah I know, and I appreciate it. Thank you.

29
I'm planning on being there so I'll try to make sure all the replays are saved again. I'll get what I can collect to you afterwards.
Hey sounds good, they don't even have to be labelled, just having a bracket and knowing who plays what character would be enough.
I was just bummed out when Winter Brawl came around and we didn't see a stream. I understand though, it's fuckin tough to run a tournament and manage a stream especially for a side game.

30
Would be cool to put Melty on a stream.
Even if you can't, I'd like to request that you or whoever is admining the event at least save the replays and label name em, I wouldn't mind producing them into videos after the event.

Just an offer  :prinny:

When grungrah and I transcribe videos for meltydb, we sometimes put comments on matches or funny things that happen within matches.
I've made the doc public to view, if anyone wants to take a look and see what qualifies as a good match please feel free. I would but I don't think I understand enough to say what a truly good match is.

We've got several sheets of matches.

Holy god I love Jアンソン's F-Roa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wtQ0gjxLfg&t=26m19s
J-Anson's F-Roa is neat to watch but as far as I've seen he's really just playing F-Roa the same as he plays H-Roa and kind of relies more on his outofcharacter skill if that makes any sense.
I'd recommend checking out Uhonge and Baruto, they are two players who main F-Roa though Baruto seems to be playing more C-Roa recently.

I'm not going to do a ton of work if no one cares though, so post up if you do.  :teach:

casual
either way i'd love some c-roa tutorials, i may not have the execution to keep up with it but the information would be great.

39
We've caught up! After my upload binge of something like 30-40 videos the KWM youtube now fills the gap of where MeltyBread left off and current videos. I will do my best to keep it updated.
Now begins the great transcribing adventure of our time.

i will grace you all with my presence if someone buys me a lolicup slushie and a bag of that salt pepper chicken

So TexasTim is partly right, it happens because I forgot to clear the clipboard on errors, but it will only happen when you hit enter extra times.

Since this is a small bug I'm just gonna fix it for the next major version, I'll also add auto rehosting when there is a connection error.

Buffalo to California with 3 delay
Lol how is this even possible
I got a stable 2 delay from saint catharines to florida

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: MeltyDB - A place to look for MBAACC VODs

yo, seriously...too good. invaluable resource for anyone getting started or trying to pick up new character.
Hey thanks man, coming from a guy who did a lot to help out the AC and AA scene it means a good deal.

People have asked me before about player lookup, while I had some spare time today I threw together something basic but it more or less works. If you're on any page that has results, like searching for VAkiha games, you can click the 1st player's name or the 2nd player's name to see all the matches by that player.

You can also use the player lookup form if you use Japanese names, I'm working on adding English name functionality but it's tricky. The other thing we need to tackle is consolidating player names, some players have 2+ aliases in the DB, fun stuff.
Thanks for using the site guys, hope you find use in this addition.

Yo 1.1 is so good
I played a bunch of games with a guy I know in California and we usually get 5 delay. Manually put 3 to try it out, no spikes, no desyncs, just good games.
This is like from Buffalo to California, sick sick stuff. We used to spike and desync all the time.
Thank you Madscientist.

Look I'm a dumbass that didn't read your post before voting. I voted other assuming that meant rollback. I think spectator mode would be the next great thing mostly because it will bring us all closer together and that's a great thing. We kind of having matchmaking like lobbies under control with IRC and what not.
Plus if you get spectator mode working ahead of lobbies, you can implement spectating in lobbies and then you'll be a real motherfucking G.

49
Spectator mode can be added but it will take some work. Although I'm gonna focus on fixing usability problems first.

I was serious about setting up a donation fund. It's a great thing you're doing.
I'll get in on that any day

Do you mean port forward as inputting 46318 when CCCaster boots up, or do you mean port forwarding as in going into router settings doing messy stuff. Forgive me for the ignorance, I've been using Hamachi this entire time.
Port forwarding involves going into your router and manually enabling or opening a port for your computer.
Go to www.portforward.com select your router and follow the instructions for 46318. Once completed you will be able to host. Launch the caster, input 46318 and then paste the link to your friend, he/she should be able to join you now.
