This is Choco we're talking about...a guy who won't accept a MM unless its under his own condition (that example being mine) , but yet will call someone a little bitch because they want it FT5 instead of FT10(his own MM at EVO). This is also the guy that says MM>>>>tournament because you put more money down on a MM than you do tournament(Ignoring the fact that most tournaments cost $5-$10) . Well in that case I can lose every other major I go to, but MM that winner more than what the tournament itself cost or better yet his winnings (in a FT10 of course) and if I happen to win I'm better than that guy.

The fact that they have to constantly tell us how much our game sucks actually makes it look good (in my eyes at least).  If a game truly sucks, then there's no need to constantly remind the players that it sucks.

As for hellmonkey saying he hates the game but luvs beating people at it, it's one of 2 things:
1. He's in denial
2. He's just an arrogant bitch 

If people are easily swayed by people like hellmonkey and spirit juice, then they shouldn't be playing the game.  Keep in mind that the only argument they've ever come up with for hating on MB is 2A (or my favorite spirit juice comment of "only 3 buttons"... to this day, I still can't stop laughing at that!).  Also, this whole "otaku" bullshit is just something GG players were once labeled as and are now passing onto MB... that's all.

This game needs hype. Real talk. If you were at NEC and FR, this is the type of exposure we need. Do you honestly believe that if you ran that tournament set back against Choco and jiyuna 100 times, you would win more than 50 times? Realistically speaking noone in this community outside of four people (Zar, Spooky, Arlieth, and perhaps Psylocke) should be bothering with money matches or trying to hype up shit with money matches. That entire MM was full of dropped BnB's, botched iad's, 2'as, and just overall sloppy play. If you didn't realize it, the only people actually watching the MM where the curious smash players, because you two decided to hold it in the same room their tournament was being run in. Like I said, noone knew the results until half an hour after it was finished.

You know what's real hype? EC vs WC. That's major growth potential there. Now we can actually do that. Hell, Zar vs Spooky. Arlieth vs Nerina. Where you know either side isn't going to be dropping shit, and where the level of play will be high. Lord if Spooky had shown up to FRXI this weekend you wouldn't believe the amount of rape he would have done. That shit would be welcome on the big screen as a showcase to people watching.

I don't hate melty blood.  I just think it's ridiculous to take the game seriously.  I continue playing the game because it's fun (the same reason I don't play 3S or CvS2), but one thing that is really impossible to ignore is how low the level of play in MB is in the U.S.  Apparently making this observation means that I hate the scene or hate the game- which isn't the case at all, overall the people in the MB scene are cool people- I just think that people really need to step their shit up and beat people like me who just learn the game and know hardly anything about it.  Also, I wouldn't have started playing if GG had good online play, but since it doesn't, MB is the next best thing!

I'm issuing the money match with terms. If someone wants to CHALLENGE me, they may set their own terms and issue them to me for acceptance. But if I'm fucking challenging someone, I'm making the terms, and I'm not letting some fuck named Tare, who seems to want to defend your every move, try to change them. I went to FRXI for MB. I did pretty well in tournament, and I got hella casuals with people I had been talking to online for quite a while. I gained experience playing against characters I hadn't played against before. And I had plenty damn fun doing it too.

Is that wrongful act to both of you? My goal in this game is to become a top Hisui player. Yes, I'm serious. Is that ridiculous to you two?

I mean you're free to hate the game all you want, you can join the rest of the people in line who've been bashing it since it ever came into existance five years ago. And you can say whatever you want about the level of play as well (90% of WC sucks and 90% of EC sucks, big deal). But coming from GG players, who have had to put up through some pretty ignorant shit in the past (and I was there as part of the GG scene for quite a while), I wouldn't have expected such behavior.

But hell, I can't stop either of you from feeling or doing what you want, but it's still a disappointment really.
