Thanks, FataCon. As I thought, nothing worth mentioning. The RPG is a thing I'd like to try out, but only if there's a way to play it in english, otherwise not.

the PS2 game was alright, albeit a bit easy. but, hey, you got to play as saitou AND aoshi  :fap:
Reborn!

there's a bunch of reborn games actually. the most recent ones are on the PSP though, tag battle style. i haven't played any of them, but they don't look too great.

Kampfer would get a whole lot of flak lol.
Hm...Strike Witches sounds interesting...maybe as a dogfight game over a fighter.

strike witches actually has a few games out. the most recent one was a japan-only danmaku for 360. there's a new one coming out in oct for DS that i think is a sidescrolling shooter, but don't quote me on that.

Ruroni Kenshin. I bet there's already one but it can't be that good since I haven't heard of it and I'm a HUGE fanboy.

there are 3: fighting, RPG, (both PSX), and hack and slash (PS2)

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan: Ishin Gekitōhen (るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚- 維新激闘編) was the fighting one on PSX. be glad you've never heard of it.

Why is New Jersey so full of melty players?
Both coasts are like that for any fighting scene, generally. Nj has a hoooooooj smash community
Nah, for melty only the Northeast US has a huge scene.  Everywhere else it's pretty paltry in comparison.

yeah, west coast MB hardly exists thanks to GG/BB/SF/and soon to be AH3..? wish i played more, actually.

that also reminds me, i never formally introduced myself on the boards even though i've been here for almost a year or something like that. got sent here from one of rei's ryougi videos and my first post/thread was in the ryougi section even though i don't play her anymore. met a lot of you at EVO this year, though i'm not particularly memorable aside from being the only other crippled guy besides ShardZ. all i know is that the melty scene is full of interesting people. nice to :fap: i mean... "meet" you all.

SADLIFE INSTALL  :(

it's been fun since... april, was it? i believe it was dakanya that directed me here in the first place. anyway, it's been tons of fun playing MB and random shit at times, all while learning how bad i am at all of them. i hope to be back soon. well, it probably wont be soon soon.

YAT: thanks for hosting at your place so many times. thanks for putting up with us harassing your animals, having your mom have to tell us we're being too loud, and for letting me accidentally leave that froyo cup on the floor. thanks for teaching me MB basics and then laughing at me for wasting meter on useless combos and scrubbing out by ground teching everything. good shit. keep reppin' that wobbufface. she's hype.

tsubasa: thanks for letting me spam you with texts always asking where, when, and if some kind of gathering was going on. thanks for letting me bum around in the EVO room and for always being willing to let me borrow one of your sticks at session/tourneys. no. i have decided i will not play ffxiv.

dakanya: thanks for talking to me at my first SJSU session and talking to me about vsav even though we never played it. (do you even play it?) those breathing tips actually helped a lot, and i've gotten better with tourney nerves (i just suck still). thanks for teaching me technical stuff that i would probably have had to research for otherwise. and fuck those ribbons.

sarsapari: why you so hype? always yelling and shit. "I'M HUNGRY!" "I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!" "MAGICAL BLONDE!" thanks for being a troll the first time i met you at the FUC tourney. i wouldn't have remembered you otherwise. kofxiii, yeah? oh, and good shit hosting at your place that one time. with the chaos... and the breaking... and stuff.

riotblade: thanks for hanging out during EVO randomly walking miles for nothing but still ending up somewhere with food. thanks for the invites to indiana jones' house (aka abstract's).

i'm lazy to type anything else and i should sleep for the drive, but seriously, thanks guys. fun times, interesting conversations, and good games. see you guys soon..ish?

so it looks like this norcal install/hitconfirm thing is happening on aug. 28th (according to dustloop). are a majority of you guys planning to go? cause more than likely, i won't really be able to play melty while in socal. if yes, i'll gladly make it to hang out and play melty with you guys one last time. otherwise, i'm gone by the 20th.

aside from that, i just wanted to preemptively say, "thanks norcal MB scene". the sessions/ranbats were tons of fun and overall EVO was fun too. you guys are hype.

i guess melty bread's joke detector is broken  :prinny:

And yet you still didn't show up today.  You missed a crazy sister obsessed Jiang  :toot:

had family stuff to take care of.

@sarsapari the real reason you want to play KOF XIII:

it should be a new tagline or whatever. KOF XIII: so hype, it makes your goldfish explode.

Okay, we've decided to stay at Brett's place.  Sorry Jiang.  San Jose is too far away :(.

wait wait wait. hold up. who decided this? when did this thread turn into "Norcal Factions"? i'm down to drive wherever for hanging out and playing some melty, but you guys seriously need to all get on the same page. let's face it: we all come from different places. some people obviously have to make a longer drive than others no matter the location. if you guys have beef with each other, air it out already. stop playing spacing games and footsies about location. we either are or aren't a community. let's stick with one. if you guys can't decide with your e-penises, i'll choose to skip out on this saturday's session. remember, i don't play melty for drama. this ain't dustloop.

ARC DRIVE FINISH. *expletive*

thumbs up to the norcal people who were able to make the trip. i wont do the individual shoutout thing, but thanks to everybody i met/played/hungout with. good stuff. EVO was fun, serious. i was just immensely tired.

@shardZ: we never finished our cripple battle.

I have only been playing MBAA for a couple of weeks now and have been focusing more on meter management.  I need to do some research on C and F as far as how much meter is left after auto-heating, if it is diff. when I go into blood heat and also if it is diff. if I do ex moves during heat/blood heat.  I am still testing out anti airs and relaunches with my mains (C-Kohaku, C-Shiki Ryougi and F-Nero.)

only H-moon auto-heats. C has to build meter normally. F can charge it's meter (SNK style) by holding A+B+C. also, since H-moon auto-heats, it does not get MAX mode, which means it does not get Blood Heat, Another Arc Drive, or Last Arc.

even if expired without performing an Arc Drive, using heat while in any moon will reset your meter back to zero. the only time you get to keep some of your meter is if you are in MAX and do NOT heat. I believe in these situations C retains 200% and F retains 100%.

also, check each of your mains' respective character thread or entry on the mbaa mizuumi wiki. it'll save you a lot of time and guesswork on specific moves and general how-to's to play each of your characters. watching vids on the official meltybread youtube channel doesn't hurt either. if you want to get super in-depth on the characters moves, you could always download the frama data viewer and check the hitboxes and properties of each move individually.

Ranbat was fun, though a bit disappointing on my part. Need more varied matchup experience, so  I don't lose to gimmicks (or maybe I just need to calm down my "crack hands", breathe, and stop dropping combos  :toot: )

Sorry i had to leave pretty early and so suddenly. Had to take my friend home and I have been sick all week so I was too tired to drive back.

Also... I forgot to take out the refreshments for everyone out of my van. Sorry guys  :slowpoke:
