US melty

Any MB heads planning to go to this?  We can get back to our roots and have a side-tourney like the good old days.  Or just grind casualsssssss

was funnn

Hype. Everyone come out, this might be my last MB tourney in the states!

how is melty going to work? our tournies are usually run by the community rather than the organizer...

is it going Saturday- Teams, Sunday- Singles

Saturday- Bracket Play, Sunday- Top 8

Going to request off tomorrow, 99% sure I will be attending.

BBG > All other tournaments.

Why play in some shitty rundown venue when we can play outside in beautiful weather.
25$ for the permit, but no entry fee for any of the players (and Tinshi's place might be raising the fee to 10$ lolllllll)
Plenty of food + CF nearby, plus the classic post-tourney AJISEN trip.

Like BBG has been staple of EC poverty community for past 2 summers, now niggas trying to forget about it and move into some dump like every other fighting game community? Fuck it, I'm going to Japan.

I will MM anyone. Any amount.

I'm requesting off work for this.

<Qaenyin> Well I'm already expecting to beat Zar
<Qaenyin> so if Kijea doesn't go it might as well just be 1v1 me vs Jiyuna for 1st place, and everyone else leaves

Do people want a room for friday night? PM me and let me know ASAP, it will be like 20$ a person.

Right now I've got Generic/Fox/Chibi/Spooky/Zar ; great group of players to grind out some games with before the tourney.

Sign me up for MBAA/BB.

Also who am I rooming with Saturday night after tourney? I got $$$

only TOP PLAYERS have a right to talk.

I'll MM anyone for any amount.  Doubt there will be any takers, might have to offer 2:1 odds for some people...

I'm bout to kick dat bitch in the throat!

you're hired.

phae's Edward 40 Hands

jiyuna tried to do this at a previous gathering(RIP) but it didn't work out too well. Basic rules are you get 2 40s taped to each of your hands, and you cant untape either of them until you have finished both 40s. I think its like $5 to enter to pay for the 40s or something idk, ask her

I also need some professional SMM players to commentate me vs jiyuna ft10

fuck this entire post, seriously.

1) Edward 40 hands worked perfectly, but you blacked out so you don't remember. Me/Rithli faced off and had a good time without throwing up on sp00ky's floor.

2) I am not doing a ft10 in any game, especially not SMM. SMM will either be ft1 (preferred) or ft2, anything more and i won't take part.  No casuals (against ANYONE) allowed before match, but short training mode session is allowed (gotta remember the infintes).

who the fuck is WOOF?

BIG E- can I have my bottle of goose from last year  :'( :'( :'(

Is there any reason you are against it beyond the fact that it's a (perceived) re-distribution of wealth from you to other players?

Because Top 8 doesn't mean anything in a game where 80% of the community can't land bnb's during tourney.

You still never got to me on the are macros (a+d, a+b+c, a+b, etc.) allowed issue.
When was the last time button marcos were allowed at NEC? Unless eric changed the rule recently (which is something I can't find anything definitive on for this year), they are not allowed.

You want 'odd' rules? How about the payment schedule for the tournament (which is subject to change; depending on the final number of entrants -- this is assuming 80 people):

1st) 40%
2nd) 20%
3rd) 14%
4th) 9%
t5th) 5.5%
t7th) 3%
So, for example, if we have 80 paid entrants at $10 per person, the payouts would look like this:

1st) $320
2nd) $160
3rd) $112
4th) $72
t5th) $44
t7th) $24

This would change depending on the number of people in the tournament. For example, a 64 person tournament would pay out at 44%/22.5%/14.5%/9%/5%. A 128-person tournament would pay out at 38%/19%/13%/8%/5%/3%/1.5%. The over-arching goal would be to pay out to the top 10% of players, give or take a few spots.

Kinda late in the game, but I can attend this now.
Who do I need to talk to for sign ups/entry/$$$costs/etc? (if it's not too late)

Also, if anyone has space in their room(s), please let me know! I'm a skinny guy and won't take up much space. But I probably will eat all your food and drink all your drinks.

You can share the bed with me in Hal's room (yes homo).
